    Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to explore the different leadership styles that can cause undue stress in the workplace. I chose this project due to my own workplace and the stressors I see within the agency. My research was both qualitative and quantitative in nature. One question that helped in finding my starting place was: What type of leadership style works best in the workplace? This study will define different leadership styles that can be both good and bad based on the performance of employees in the organization. There are also outside factors that can affect performance in the workplace. Some of those outside factors can be environmental, abusive supervision, and bullying. This review will highlight some of the coping skills that can be used by employees to overcome stressors in the workplace. More research should be done on leadership and stress since the studies that have been done were small and limited to leadership styles.
