Abstract
The Registry of Deeds is the office that processes information as it relates to the selling and buying of real property and it is their mission to preserve the integrity of the records and to make them available and easily accessible to the public. Towards the goal of greater public access, the Carroll County Web Records Project was initiated to bring on-line a web portal for the County’s two and a half million land records and index database. The project was performed using waterfall methodology to coordinate scheduled tasks between County staff and Fidlar technicians in converting and preparing documents for the web. The project made all records available on-line while maintaining data integrity with the source records at the County offices.
