Abstract
This project reviews and reinforces the need for an obscure Department of Defense program known as the Non-Medical Attendant or NMA program. This program is vitally important to the successful recovery of severely injured members of the United States military and there are no similar civilian programs for comparison. Additionally, this program is supported by professional and compassionate leadership who work tirelessly for the Soldiers and families to ensure that the highest possible level of care and resources are available. The data utilized to support this literature review has been gathered from past research and reinforced by personal experience.
