dc.descriptionVarious factors contribute to the issue of gender imbalances in the television and film industry, including motherhood demands, networking barriers, and cultural practices. For this study, news media, television broadcasts, and film productions are all explored as each sub-industry shares many standard environmental features. The global history of women in television and film⎼⎼both on-screen and behind-the-scenes, statistics covering the presence of females in the industries, organizational structures, sexism and discrimination in entertainment workplaces, and the challenges facing women in film and television are all examined.
