This research seeks to find a correlation between what one’s scores on a personality assessment and then entering a therapy field. The Myers-Briggs Assessment, DiSC™, Big Five Personality Assessment and the Enneagram are were researched. This topic was selected based on my interest of to enter a specific therapy field. I want to know if my own personality would be a good fit for any of these fields: music therapy, speech/language therapy, and recreational therapy. I believe these three therapy fields seemed the most interesting and different from one another. I researched these therapies in conjunction with personality assessments and measured them using the methods of text analysis and case studies. My analysis will determine if there is a correlation between a person’s score on these personality assessments and work in a therapy field.
