This research focused on resonant leadership as the ideal leadership style for those who are looking to lead and to create hope in the face of fear and despair. The literature highlights the importance of emotional intelligence, focusing on how leaders operate at their best through being emotionally intelligent and working to create resonance. The research touches upon Daniel Goleman’s model of emotional intelligence, as the foundation to the hope in resonant leadership, as well as emotional intelligence’s roles in influencing others, and in building relationship. This research forth the question: How might one inspire those who are not resonant leaders to develop and grow into resonant leaders with high emotional intelligence? Would the development of a workshop designed around transitioning from traditional leadership styles be helpful in changing the mindsets of those who do not welcome change easily? A professional development workshop was designed to answer this question.
