The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between how employers treat their employees and the employee's intention to stay with the company. Research was done in current literature to see what positively impacts retention rates and in some cases what negatively impacts retention rates. Each study is looked at for both thoroughness and limitations there could be in the information. In some cases suggestions on what could be done to strengthen the research are given. The research used information gained to offer a perspective and to propose a plan that could be used in practical applications to help improve employee retention rates in low paying jobs.
