The 115kV Electric Transmission line project involved building a 6 mile transmission line between two substations in the greater Manchester, NH area. The new transmission line will allow the electric utility to supply more reliable electric power to the area that includes customers such as Boston-Manchester Regional Airport, Elliot Hospital, and The Mall of NH as well as residential customers in the area. The new transmission line was built in an existing right of way (ROW) which required minimal impact to the environment as well as the land owners that live along the transmission line ROW. This new transmission line will allow additional reliability by allowing the utility to transfer electric load from one area to the other on hot summer days or cold winter days. The capstone portion of the project primarily involved the construction of the electric utility line.
