Safety in the workplace has always been a topic of discussion. Improving safety in the workplace and its effects on employees is becoming increasingly important in the workplace due to minor through to tragic events happening in the workplace every day. These events can become extremely costly. The vision of this organization in regards to this project is to keep everyone as safe as they can through training and consistent practices. Every seven seconds an American worker is injured in the workplace. That is an unacceptable injury rate of 12,900 incidents a day. Organizations need to find a way to instill in employees that using safety equipment is important. Organizations and its employees need to at a minimum cut this injury rate by supplying, training, and using all safety equipment. This initiative will be accomplished through training and competencies.
