DT7 Software Replacement
Weymouth, Courtney
In my department we rely heavily on documentation for policy, procedure, and training purposes. Due to the size of our document repository, we utilize a software tool (DT7) that saves more than 75% of our time drafting documents and ensuring all documents are uniform in style. We were informed the software tool we use was no longer being supported by our IT department as the company that owns the product was closing by January 2022. Learning of this news, I proactively researched an alternative and presented my findings to my manager. I was then assigned to lead the project. I selected this specific project because I am an expert in the tool that was no longer being supported. I utilized the waterfall methodology because it was the perfect approach to a short and uncomplicated project, that yielded a successful result. The budget was approved, went through our procurement group, and we were able to purchase 30 licenses with technical support for 1 year for the replacement software tool (FSP), which also included technical support.

Civil Rights Compliance Review
Page, Katherine
The project is a civil rights compliance review of a high school to improve the school’s compliance with federal regulations and eliminate barriers to accessing career and technical educational (CTE) programs. The project will determine whether the school is providing equal access to CTE programs in compliance with required federal civil rights statutes and provide technical assistance to the school with developing corrective actions that will bring their CTE programs and facilities into compliance. The project is being done in two phases and at this time phase one has been completed successfully. This project is part of Katherine Page’s responsibilities as the State Methods of Administrator.

Ultimate Graduation Party
Mcafee, Paige
“Ultimate Graduation Party” is about the planning, execution, and clean-up of a hypothetical graduation party for 45 guests. It will be an under the sea themed costume party with catering, a live DJ, photo booth, and more at a venue in southern New Hampshire. I chose this project because I felt that planning a party would be both fun and useful. The project management documents I create now can be used or altered by me to plan a variety of professional events in the future. The waterfall methodology was used to manage the project.

Building of the Future Jahanshahi Home
Jahanshahi, Abigail
The final goal of this project is the construction of a custom home with at least four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and a minimum of three thousand five hundred square feet at a cost not exceeding eight hundred fifty thousand dollars in Stillwater, Oklahoma for the Jahanshahi family. However, the project will be split into three phases. Phase one is the research and conceptual planning segment including, but not limited to, soliciting of contractors and architects, locating build site, style and size of home, financing or loan options, budget, and timeline. Phase two encompasses preliminary designs and will require the creation and completion of RFPs (Request for Proposals) by both the project team and the parties interested in bidding on this project’s deliverables. Phase three is construction, the physical building process. At this time, phase one is the primary focus of this capstone project.
